Dr. Neal A. Zabiegalski

Dr. Neal Zabiegalski headshotDr. Neal A. Zabiegalski is a highly experienced, board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with more than three decades of clinical, academic, and hospital experience. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Zabiegalski earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Towson State University before completing his dental education at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. He subsequently completed a General Practice Residency at Miami’s Veterans Administration Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He further advanced his expertise through a fellowship in Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Arthroscopy and Reconstruction at Baptist Hospital of Miami, under the mentorship of Joseph P. McCain, D.M.D.

Throughout his career, Dr. Zabiegalski has developed expertise in orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, TMJ reconstruction, TMJ arthroscopy, implantology, anesthesia, and complex surgical care.

His professional career has included extensive private-practice experience as well as hospital-based and academic roles. He serves as a contract physician with Surgical Arts of Boca Raton, while covering multiple trauma centers in Florida. He previously practiced with Chesapeake Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and served as an Associate Clinical Professor at Nova Southeastern University and University of Maryland and GeorgeTown University, contributing to the education and training of future oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
Dr. Zabiegalski has held numerous leadership positions within organized dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery, including serving as President of the Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and President of the Patuxent Dental Society. He has also served on professional committees and as a delegate to the Maryland State Dental Association and now the Florida Dental Association.

In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Zabiegalski has lectured extensively on TMJ disorders and arthroscopy and has contributed to professional literature in the field of temporomandibular joint surgery. His publications include work on TMJ arthroscopy, arthroscopic disc suturing, osteoarthritis, and surgical techniques.
